ABOUT ME

I have been an avid horse enthusiast and rider since my parents moved to a property that backed onto a horse farm when I was a child. Once I jumped the fence to go for my first lesson as a 10 year old, there was no looking back!
Since I first became a horse owner 15 years ago, I’ve committed to improving my equine knowledge and education to be able to provide the best care and training for my horses. I have taken several equine studies courses offered by the University Of Guelph. These courses gave me an understanding of the necessary elements to provide a safe and healthy environment for my horse, the ability to recognize the signs and symptoms of equine illness and disease, and the knowledge of how best to prevent illness or injury. I am a progressive student of natural horsemanship which has allowed me to help my horse, and the horses I work with, to be more confident in a variety of environments and situations.
I became an Equine First Aid Instructor so that I could share my experience, expertise and resources to help other horse owners and caretakers. I know the stress of feeling unprepared and uncertain when faced with an emergency involving your horse. My goal is to have each student come away from their course feeling prepared and certain that they can take calm and confident action in any equine emergency situation.
I hope to be a part of your horsemanship and equine stewardship journey!

When you look into that eye, can you say “I know enough to help you if you get sick or hurt”?....
